I had always dreamed of exploring the stunning landscape of Linan City, China, and when I heard about the opportunity to trek through the beautiful Butterfly Valley, I knew I had to make it happen. Nestled in the mountains of Linan, the Butterfly Valley is known for its lush forests, sparkling rivers, and, of course, its abundance of colorful butterflies. So, with my backpack packed and my sense of adventure fully charged, I embarked on my journey through the valley, eager to experience everything it had to offer.

  • Extra socks, toiletries, a garbage bag, a water bottle or hydration pack, and mosquito repellent can also be useful to bring. Consider any personal medications you may need as well.
  • Don’t forget to bring your ID and some cash, just in case.

Even though it was not butterfly season, I was struck by the beauty and diversity of the landscape as I hiked through Butterfly Valley. There was always something new and exciting to discover, from the cascading waterfalls to the colorful flowers that dotted the trails. Even though I didn’t get to see the valley’s famous butterflies, the experience was unforgettable. The tranquility of the forest and the sense of adventure I felt as I hiked through the valley were truly unforgettable. I can’t wait to return and see what else Linan City has to offer, and hopefully see the butterflies that give the valley its name.
