February 27, 2023 3 Min Read

Shaoguan Zhang Jiuling Memorial Park is located atop Hui Long Mountain, on the north bank of the Bei River, near the intersection of the three regions of Zhenjiang, Wujiang, and Qujiang.

Zhang Jiuling was a prominent minister, noted poet and scholar of the Tang dynasty, serving as chancellor during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong.

The Shaoguan Historical and Cultural Museum, located on the summit of Hui Long Mountain, is an important component of the park. You may buy a ticket to ride in a golf cart-like vehicle or hike up directly.

The museum is a structure designed in the manner of a Tang dynasty pavilion, with a main hall, four towers, and a T-shaped corridor. The design is a three-tiered platform with five visible and nine concealed phoenixes and a hilltop.
